OBJECTIVE

CHINA NOW were looking to produce a large image-focused coffeetable book to celebrate all that happened in the seven months of the UK's largest ever Chinese cultural festival.

The book had to represent such an all-encompassing event, creating a publication that would provide a lasting legacy that really did justice to everyone involved.

SOLUTION

Sourcing quality weight paperstock and choosing unusually large dimensions give the book an impression of quality and drama. The use of large colourful images supported by bespoke graphical elements for every single one of the 250+ individual events contained within the book really give it the air of a truly special occasion that will not be repeated.

Each image was spot varnished to add an extra sheen and give it a real photographic element.

RESULT

Going out to around 1300 supporters and friends of the festival the large-scale book gives a true sense of the unique drama of the festival and presents each of the many individual events inside their own unique personality reflecting the activity of each one.
